IOW No 2

Hi Family, Friends, Davenanters and Bloggers,

On Tuesday we spent the whole day out exploring the IOW. From St Helens we drove through Sandown and then on to Shanklin. We had a lovely walk along the coast in Shanklin and ended up in a place called Shanklin Chine.  This Chine had a waterfall that had cut into the cliff which was covered in exotic plant life.

We had lunch in Shanklin Chine and then went on to visit St Boniface Church at Bonchurch. This is an extremely small 12th century church in a tiny village right on the coast and from here we had another lovely walk along the coast.

After this we had a quick look at the shops in a sea side town of Ventnor and then had an excellent afternoon tea on the sea front. By this point we were feeling a bit like the Famous Five - exploring and being adventurous - so we kept calling ourselves the Famous Three.

So the Famous Three finished their day off with some very good fish and chips at the local pup before crashing out with some very strong Amaretto.
