Saturday turned out to be a really lovely day and the tour around Lancashire was made even better by the blue skies and sunshine. We spent a very leisurely day sightseeing, shopping and eating in Clitheroe and below are photos of the Town, the Castle and the views of the beautiful Lancashire countryside. We had a long, relaxed lunch on a roof garden in the sun, in a trendy Bar in Clitheroe, and really felt as if we were on holiday! After lunch we went into an amazing wine shop with a very interesting cellar and we all bought a couple of bottles of wine.
In the evening we all went out to a really lovely local Pub called The Clog and Billycock that specialised in using locally sourced food and I had the most delicious pea and leek croquets to start followed by Lancashire Hotpot for main course and it really was lovely. Potted Shrimp and Scotch Egg were popular choices of starter with the others and the Fish Pie and Goosenargh Devilled Chicken were also popular as main course choices.
After our meal we then went to the Three B's Brewerey which is attached to The Black Bull pub in Blackburn. Mick, Linda's Husband, works in the Brewery and after we had sampled the beer he gave us a very knowledgable tour of the Brewery. It was a great way to finish a lovely day.

We all had a really wonderful family day
