The famous Festival Theatre in Chichester is in the process of having a twenty two million pound refurbishment project done on it and it is, therefore, closed until next year. We went to the smaller theatre called The Minerva to see a production of The Pyjama Game. The production of The Pyjama Game was done in the round, in an intimate sized space and we had fantastic seats. The production was very slick, polished and professional and although the story takes place in a pyjama factory in 1954 it felt vibrant and contemporary. All the cast members were excellent singers, dancers and actors and there were some outstanding individual performances. It was musical theatre at its best and we highly recommend it.
After the performance we walked back to our Hotel, had a night cap in the bar and then went back to our very cosy family room - number 33 - on the third floor. We collapsed into bed, totally exhausted after our very eventful day.
The following morning, after our full English Breakfast, we had a walk around the old city walls then we said our fair-wells and left lovely Chichester. I wonder if we will ever go back there again.

DeleteI am on my last three days and I have got use to living in these lovely temperatures. I have had fantastic weather and its rejuvenated me. In the 27 days that I have been here only four were too hot and one was too cold and it rained but all the others were perfect!
How was the IOW - did Simon enjoy himself? xxx
