Ragdale Hall No 3

Hi Family, Friends, Davenanters, and Bloggers

After another delicious breakfast in bed we set off to our Zumba class - "whatever that is", as the man in the advert says - and we danced our way through various different routines including Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis. We were both totally exhausted at the end of the hour. Fortunately we had our facial, hand and back massage immediately afterwards and could get back into relaxation mode immediately. The treatment was, once again, totally brilliant.

It is hard work and time consuming all this relaxation, so after another three course lunch we both had a very long nap, on purpose this time. When we had recovered we had another round of swimming and visits to the Candlelit Room, the Volcanic Salt Room, the Thought Room, the Scent Room and the Inside/Outside Pool. The Candlelit Room is definitely our favourite.

We have just finished our evening meal when we both had the chicken casserole, baked potatoes and red cabbage for main course. It was delicious. The chef does such a fantastic job catering for hundreds of people every day - it really is five star food. The quality, presentation and service are faultless.

We had more success watching the evening film yesterday, Friends With Kids, and saw it through to its very predictable end.

In case you are wondering, from the photos, what the original Ragdale Hall was built for, I have a little bit of history for you. The original Hall was used as an Elizabethan Hunting Lodge to accommodate the family's love of hunting hawks. In 1785 the new Hall was built above the village of Ragdale. During the 1800's modifications were made which gave the Hall a castle like appearance. The Hall started its commercial life in 1973 when it was purchased by Slimming Magazine who created Ragdale Hall Health Hydro. The Hall can now boast some of the most up to date and innovative facilities with luxurious accommodation and surroundings set in a superbly relaxed atmosphere.

Signing off from the Blogging Room ( as Rita has nicknamed it) until tomorrow.
